
Remembering Norris R Guthrie 1968-2011
Norris Ronald Guthrie, Jr., age 43, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2011, in Knoxville, TN. He was an avid Tennessee football fan, who loved entertaining family and friends, and working on computers. He was a scholar who loved writing. Norris’s last year, his self proclaimed “best year of his life”, he spent as a Christian, fully involving himself in Grove City Baptist Church where he was a member. He is survived by his parents, Norris and Charlotte Guthrie of Bristol; Sister, Chrissy Lay of Bristol; brother, Sean Guthrie and wife Paige of Acworth, GA; Nieces and nephews, Braden and Brice Lay, and Isabelle and Nicholas Guthrie; several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Grove City Baptist Church in Knoxville, officiated by Pastor Donald Beeman. In lieu of flowers donations to be made to Grove City Baptist Church, 802 Virginia Ave. NW, 37921. Gentry Griffey Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
